Arte Italica was formed in 1997 when owner Ann Skidmore, after a particularly inspirational visit to Italy, a country she holds dear to her heart and to which she has often traveled, has a vision to bring to America European products that reflect and honor the heritage of traditional artisans. Her vision began with select pieces of Italian pewter and quickly grew to include decorative ceramics, glassware and tableware, among other items. Over time, the number of lines in the Arte Italica collection grew, as Ann resourced and designed new accessories, launching Arte Italica as one of the leading importers of luxury decorative accessories in the United States.
