Block Vase

The ultra-modern "Block-Glas" vases from Rosenthal are brought into shape using a complex sanding and engraving process.  Like sculptures the blocks are cut, sanded and polished until each culminates in a completed object.  The silky smooth, soft, organic inner shapes are coveted by crystal clear, hard, geometric shapes.  This interplay between contrasting forms lends the vases their convincing appearance, turning them into small design objects.
