Create the Perfect Spring Tablescape

Entertain your guests this spring with the top trending items of the season.

Staying ahead of seasonal trends is our specialty. With spring approaching, luxury connoisseurs look to GEARYS for the perfect tabletop goods to freshen up their homes. We know how stressful it can be to curate a nice tablescape, so we have pulled together the season’s trending items to show you everything you need to entertain guests this spring.

Since spring is known for its beautiful colors, you can be playful with decorations. The Bernardaud “In Bloom” collection is hand painted by the Los Angeles-based artist Zemer Peled. The collection includes all the necessary components: dinner plates, salad bowls, platters and more. Featuring a beautiful blue hue, “In Bloom” is characterized by gently-painted flowers that pair effortlessly with spring.

How to Set Dinnerware

When setting a table, follow the “outside-in” rule. This entails placing items in the order they will be used. The dinner plate will be set down first, followed by the salad plate above it. If used, the bread plate sits directly above the forks.

The Capdeco Conty White five-piece place setting is a seamless complement to the “In Bloom” collection. Due to its sleek and modern design, this silverware set can be used in multiple tablescapes from casual get togethers to formal dining affairs. The set comes with a dinner knife, dinner fork, salad fork, dinner spoon and teaspoon.

How to Set Silverware

Place both forks on the left side of the plate. The dinner fork, which is the largest of the two, will be placed closest to the plate, and the smaller salad fork will be on the outside of the dinner fork. The dinner knife will sit directly to the right of the dinner plate and be followed by the dinner spoon. If used, a dessert spoon will be placed horizontally above the dinner plate with its handle facing to the right.

Tying together our blue spring tablescape, the Carlo Moretti Bora Tumbler is a flawless match. Inspired by the strong wind that often blows on the Adriatic Sea, each crystal Bora Tumbler is mouth blown in Murano, Venice and is engraved with Carlo Moretti’s signature.

How to Set Glassware

Drinking glasses are placed near the top right corner of the plate above the knives and spoons.

Complete your tablescape with a beautiful centerpiece such as the Lalique Champs Elysees Grand Bowl. A centerpiece can be dressed up with something as simple as a pear or as eye popping as colorful spring flowers.
