Daum Alcyone, Limited Edition of 99

Maison Daum's Alcyone is a work of art inspired by Greek mythology and designed in collaboration with French sculptor Dominique Vidal. A limited edition of 99, the sculpture reflects on ancient busts and features pink-amber tones that offer a soft and romantic glow.

According to Greek mythology, Alcyone, along with her husband Ceyx, angered the gods by comparing their own love to that of Zeus and Hera. Their vanity resulted in their own transformation into Alcyons (fabulous birds resembling kingfishers) for Alcyone and Seagulls for Ceyx which is carefully depicted in Daum's intricate decorative piece.
