Gorham Strasbourg Sterling Flatware
Flowing scrollwork follows the gently curved handles of this magnificent pattern inspired by the rococo style of design favoring shell-like curves prevailing in 18th Century France. Named for the French hamlet near the border of Germany, this intricate Strasbourg pattern displays rococo exuberance with hints of lively German Baroque opulence. The finely carved details along the edge highlight a smooth central panel, and culminate in a subtle shell near the tip. This design, introduced in 1897 by Gorham, will enliven traditional table settings for everyday meals and when entertaining.

Details & Care | Sterling is dishwasher safe, but hand washing with a mild detergent is recommended. After each use promptly wash, or at least rinse, sterling in hot water. Do not leave sterling soaking, as it can permanently damage the metal. Polish your sterling once or twice a year, whether it has been used regularly or not. Do not wrap in rubber bands, plastic, newspaper or any high sulphur material. Daily use is encouraged as an integral part of silver care. |
