Saint Louis Matrice Clear Vase, Small
This magnificent vase was inspired by a warehouse that stores molds and casts. Designer Kiki van Eijk, from the Eindhoven Academy, was inspired to shine a light on the various tools that serve to create each and every Saint-Louis creation. The designer gave each piece of the Matrice collection the unique shape of a mold. She then adorned each item with hand-cut elements that reflect the signature style of the company. The Matrice Clear Vase reflects the ancestral skills of Saint-Louis that have been passed down from generation to generation: mouth-blown crystal, hand-cut, hand-engraved and hand-decorated.

Since 1829, Saint Louis has been exclusively devoted to the production of crystal-glass items. Considered amongst the very best in France, Saint-Louis’ master glassblowers put forth magnificent crystal creations including tableware, vases, chandeliers and lighting items.
Blending tradition and innovation while continually drawing inspiration from contemporary artistic trends, Saint-Louis continues to renew and reshape its artistic identity. Reflecting the new wave of creativity that swept through the early 20th century, including Art Nouveau and Art Deco, Saint-Louis invites artists such as Paul Nicolas, Jean Sala, Jean Luce, Michel Colle and Maurice Dufrêne to lend their talents.
Unmatched, dense, pure and luminous, born from a ball of fire and the breath of man, Saint-Louis crystal vibrates with all the talent passed down from its rich heritage and the creative fantasy inspired by modern trends. Saint-Louis is truly a manufacturer of its time. Their master glass blowers all possess the irreplaceable ancestral skills and knowledge passed down from generation to generation. Each crystal piece is mouth-blown, hand-cut, hand-engraved and hand-decorated with platinum or 24-carat gold. The fine art of living in crystal is certain to seduce the world.
