Christofle Seve d'Argent Surtout Square Tray

Studio Christofle in reference to the style of Louis XIV, has created a center piece around the french design of surtout, with independent pieces that are assembled to form a centerpiece. Christofle's Seve d'Argent Surtout Square Tray center piece is slightly raised and decorated with a silver metal border. The bottom of the tray is made of a mirror reflecting the beauty of the pieces that can be placed on it.

The term "Surtout" appeared in the last years of the reign of Louis XIV with the arrival of the French service. The centerpiece can be used to display serving items such as salt shakers, spice boxes, oil dishes, vinegar dishes and sugar bowls, items that remained on the table throughout the meal.
